I. Definition and Core Structure of SPC Flooring
SPC Flooring is an environmentally friendly type of flooring formed by high-temperature extrusion with natural stone powder (calcium carbonate) and PVC as the main materials, and with the addition of stabilizers, plasticizers and other auxiliary materials. Its core structure is divided into three layers:
Wear-resistant layer: The surface is covered with a UV coating or a wear-resistant layer, with a wear resistance of up to 6,000 to 15,000 revolutions, far exceeding that of ordinary laminate flooring.
Color film layer: Through digital printing technology, patterns such as wood grain, stone grain, and carpet grain are replicated, with vivid colors and natural textures.
Base material layer: It is made by pressing a mixture of stone powder and PVC in a 7:3 ratio. It features water resistance, anti-slip, and impact resistance, and does not contain harmful substances.
As a new generation of floor material, SPC flooring combines the beauty of solid wood flooring, the durability of ceramic tiles and the lightness of plastic flooring, and is widely used in home, commercial, medical and other scenarios.
Ⅱ. Classification and Characteristics of SPC Flooring
(1) Classification by surface treatment process
1. Smooth SPC flooring
Features: Smooth and transparent surface with high gloss, easy to clean, suitable for modern minimalist and light luxury styles.
Application: Living rooms, dining rooms, commercial exhibition halls and other areas with frequent foot traffic.
2. Embossed SPC flooring
Features: The concave and convex wood grain or stone grain texture is pressed out through molds, providing a realistic touch and excellent anti-slip performance, making it suitable for imitating the effect of solid wood.
Application: Bedrooms, children's rooms, and elderly rooms, enhancing the warmth and safety of the space.
3. Synchronous pattern SPC flooring
Features: The color film texture is completely synchronized with the embossed pattern, with a strong three-dimensional effect, approaching the "natural foot feel" of solid wood flooring.
Applications: High-end residences, hotel rooms, boutique coffee shops.
(2) Classification by lock type
Glue-free splicing: The edge is designed in a "V" shape or "trapezoidal" slot. It fits seamlessly during installation without the need for glue and can be quickly disassembled and reassembled. It is suitable for renting or temporary Spaces.
Snap-on lock: The male and female grooves are tightly interlocked and fixed with a small amount of eco-friendly glue, providing greater stability. It is suitable for large-scale laying (such as in shopping malls and office buildings).
(3) Classification by functional characteristics
Antibacterial SPC flooring: Added with silver ion antibacterial agent, with an antibacterial rate of ≥99%, suitable for hospitals, kindergartens, and pet families.
Thermal conductive SPC flooring: The base material has uniform density, is compatible with floor heating systems, and its heating speed is 30% faster than that of solid wood flooring.
Anti-slip SPC flooring: The surface is treated with matte finish or a micro-coating is added, with a friction coefficient of ≥0.6. It is suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, and nursing homes.
